Nicole Tan is a creative technologist at Wayfair Next, the research and development division within the furniture e-commerce company Wayfair. The term creative technologist just means her workflow is slightly different from most software engineers -- she doesn’t specialize in a single language or stack and is constantly prototyping with emerging technology. She has worked previously as an Art and Media Pipeline developer intern at Walt Disney Imagineering as well as a VR researcher at the Cornell Virtual Embodiment Lab. Nicole earned her bachelor’s in CS with a minor in Game Design from Cornell University. She loves the intersection of art and technology and is enamored of immersive experiences and their corresponding interfaces.
