It is indisputable that technology evolves faster than the ethical use of that technology. This results in inequitable systems that benefit the majority who developed the system while excluding the minority who were outside the scope of participation.
Blockchain and Web3 technologies must be available and usable by all individuals, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. However, because of the decentralized approach to development, no one appears to be accountable for making this happen. Making Blockchain and Web3 technologies accessible to individuals with disabilities can increase the potential user base for these technologies, creating new market opportunities. Blockchain and Web3 will face many regulatory hurdles. Making them accessible will remove a regulatory objection in countries that have strong accessibility laws. Many technologies in use every day, such as Siri and Speech to Text, were initially invented for people with disabilities. These are known as curb cuts, named for the dips in street corners that allow wheelchair users to get from one side to the other without assistance however 99 % of the users are not disabled. Including more diversity in developers, including individuals with disabilities, can lead to new and innovative solutions, approaches, and curb cuts that may not have been considered otherwise. Finally, Improving accessibility and disability inclusion will improve the experience for all users, not just those with disabilities, which will lead to increased adoption and usage of Blockchain and Web3.
04:35 PM - 05:00 PM
Throughout this interactive session, the moderator will guide expert panelists as they respond to questions and discuss topics related to Web3 and blockchain technology. Following brief speaker introductions, the floor will open to audience questions, providing attendees with a perfect opportunity to understand specific areas of interest related to this topic.
04:05 PM - 04:30 PM
In this talk, and short film screening, Grace Ng will share how she has used the power of web3, AI, and film storytelling to raise awareness and spark discussions around the ethical concerns of AI and metaverse design.

As a long-time technology trend scout, Leslie Shannon knows that the most successful innovations are the ones that genuinely solve problems - without costing too much. So - what problems does the Metaverse solve? When does the cost of the Metaverse become too high? Join Leslie for a practical tour through the various iterations of today's Metaverse and a real-world, concrete evaluation of which Metaverse elements will propel the creation of the unified, problem-solving Metaverse of the future. Spoiler alert: Not all of today's Metaverse iterations are going to make it!
01:25 PM - 02:20 PM
Will the next version of World Wide Web be semantic? 3D? decentralized? intelligent? immersive? or a mixture of everything (a.k.a. metaverse)? And how can we get there?
02:55 PM - 03:20 PM
Business, social, and educational organizations are just beginning to navigate the
potential of Web 3 for creating communities, including virtual worlds – both screen-based and in virtual reality. And while the drive to develop photorealistic avatars continues, the question of visual biases that persist in our cultures give argument to cases where flexible and individualized avatar design may allow for greater inclusivity, creativity, and engagement. This presentation will touch on current research looking into the opportunities and challenges of avatar design as a tool for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
02:25 PM - 02:50 PM
Stakeholders, schools, student and investors come together to fix a problem that has defeated educational system for decades. Now, with the creators economy, there’s a bright future for all!
Learning and earning through educational, collaborative and fun games is the wave of investment future and staking for long term wins!
Key points:
• Creators economy is training and up-skilling
• Certification and rewards smart contracts
• Staking and funding early stage students projects
05:05 PM - 05:30 PM
In this presentation, we will explore a list of today's most visited Web3 virtual worlds.
You will learn about interoperable MetaTr@versal portal crawls and review how Web2, Web3, and WebXR are deploying immersive worlds. Understanding the differences between these technologies is important to brands, investors, world builders, marketers, and users.
We will identify companies that are currently surveying virtual worlds and organizations working on open standards. You will view a proof of concept (POC) system for mapping virtual worlds and learn how this 3D data visualization solution can help immersive platforms in their interoperability efforts.
03:25 PM - 03:50 PM
11:00 AM - 11:55 AM
Panelists will describe how and why they designed their programs, who they benefit and the work they do, as well as how they see these programs developing in the future.
