At the Maremel Institute, Dr. Gigi Johnson runs transformative programs, speaks/moderates, invests, researches, advises, and produces multimedia on creativity, human systems, and technology. She also runs Rethink Next, a nonprofit to build connected community and learning events, including the Amplify Music conferences and podcasts in 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic. She explored digital transformation for 22 years at UCLA, where she ran the Center for Music Innovation, expanded three industry-connecting programs at UCLA Anderson, designed conferences and events, and taught undergraduates, MBAs, and executives about disruption in creative industries. Before UCLA, she financed M&A in transforming media sectors at Bank of America for ten years.

Gigi has a Bachelor's in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California, an MBA from UCLA Anderson, and a doctorate in leadership for change from Fielding Graduate University.
