With more than 20 years of experience in games within sales, distribution, studio management, communication, marketing, and business development - Maeva Sponbergs has a diverse and broad view of the industry. With a first foray into immersive technologies starting in 2014 with the StarVR 210-degree headset and with a focus on B2B and LBE applications, Maeva is today enabling XR developer success within Beyond Frames Entertainment.
Beyond Frames Publishing is an XR first publishing partner where the group additionally houses two internal studios, Cortopia (Down the Rabbit Hole and the Wands franchise) and Moon Mode (Spacefolk City). Maeva has led the inception of the publishing unit within Beyond starting in the autumn of 2021 and the Beyond team has just released its fourth third-party publishing title of 2023 - Ghosts of Tabor.
Prior to joining Beyond Frames, Maeva served over 7 years at Starbreeze as a business, communications, and operations executive, as well as leading the company’s Investor Relations efforts. Maeva started her early endeavours within the games industry in the 8 bit-era way back when, spending precious schoolyard hours arguing Mario’s dominance over Sonic and elbowing boys in the queue to play the latest games on the demo unit in the local Mega Mart.
