Christopher Widauer studied philosophy and, after working at the University of Salzburg, moved into music management, including as director of the Styriarte Graz 1988-1990, then Mürztaler Werkstatt andSzene Salzburg. In addition to intensive consulting work in cultural management, regular teaching at universities (TU and MDW Vienna, KUG Graz, Bruckneruni Linz). From 2010 to 2013 Head of Division Derstellende Kunst in the office of the Vienna City Council for Culture, from the beginning of 2013 as Head of Digital Development responsible for the digital initiatives of the Vienna State Opera, e.g. for the extensive live and on-demand streaming program, the installation of the new "Smart Chairs" (2,100 interactive tablet computers at every seat and standing room), from 2018 for the development and implementation of an application for digital sheet music. Since 2020 consulting in digital transformation of cultural institutions such as La Scala Milan (launch of the streaming platform in February 2023), ROC Berlin, Volksoper Vienna, New Cairo Opera House, since 2019 concept and development of MYTHOS MOZART, as artistic director and responsible for the structural and technical implementation.
