Donatien started his career in an unusual way : his unofficial website about his favourite punk-rock band (The Offspring) got noticed by some folks at Sony Music who decided to hire him. He couldn't believe he was now getting paid to take care officially of that band. After really enjoying it for 5 years, he joined the video-sharing platform Dailmotion as an early employee. There, he got the opportunity to start from scratch the entire strategy for Content Partnerships and to build the first ever revenue share program for official Content producers. And also to interview Metallica, Slipknot, or Janet Jackson.
He then moved on to manage business deals for top YouTube Creators (the term "Influencers" didn't exist at the time and he never liked it anyway) and got eventually called by YouTube to run their Paris filming studios and video education hubs known as "YouTube Space". No punk-rock or metal bands were involved in this adventure but Donatien got the visit of 2 French Presidents, an actual Space Astronaut and got to recreate Star Wars' Millennium Falcon as a movie set.
7 years later, a new Studio and a different technology : Donatien is currently the Director of Snap's AR Studio, based in Paris. AR Studio's mission is to drive greater awareness of the potential of augmented reality and increase its impact across culture, entertainment and education. Through non-commercial partnerships, AR Studio helps fund the development of cutting-edge AR experiences that illustrate how the camera improves the way people learn and interact with the world. Some AR Studio's recent partnerships include FR National Library (BnF), Centre Pompidou and Daft Punk.
