Julie Smithson’s personal mission is to ‘inspire and educate people to think and act in a socially, economically and environmentally responsible way’. As Founder of MetaVRse, a 3D Web Game Engine, she has been leading XR development for multiple industries and verticals for the past 6 years. She is the host of the leading podcast on XR For Learning. Julie also leads XR Collaboration, a coalition supporting human connectivity through digital presence in platforms building communication and collaboration.

As co-founder and Board Chair of XR Women, Julie helps lead a weekly event celebrating the work and lives of women in the XR industry with a mission to educate others about digital transformation.
